The Yahiko Kurouchi I've also got listed is the second best deal going. The actual smith, Yoshikane, makes tremendous knives. One of these days got to get me an...

Re: BRAZILIAN WHETSTONES

As far as I know, nobody has independently reviewed Brazilian whetstones. Is that possible? What happened in Chicago? The silence is deafening. I had really intended on checking these out in Chicago but there was some much happening there! The time seemed to go so fast I missed checking these out a...

He should have a lot of those in stock, but it appears to me that he's never had any. Same with the Masamoto KS. They are made up to 330mm. Never sold here. Enthusiast are definitely welcome here but posts like these will not be taken well. This is not related to the subject of the thread and is sh...

Re: How do you store your stones?

A couple tubs of stones along with other sharpening toys and knife stuff stored in the top of a small tool closet. All my stones are splash-n-go and dry quickly so they get stored in their original boxes in the tubs. Jeff, I borrowed your idea of the Ikea lid organiser to dry the stones after use. ...

Re: No handle knives

I meant no disrespect was not trying to demean any part of the custom handle market. Just offering one point of view and not inferring it to be the right or best way to see it. If I offended anyone in anyway my sincere apologies.

Re: No handle knives

My thoughts as someone who has fairly recently started making handles. My motivation for making handles had a few factors: the desire to create something beautiful, my love of wood grain, a way to give my family and friend lasting gifts and also (as others have pointed out) the cost of a high quali...
