I wish I had some of those beauties. Moreover, I wish I had enough that I could in turn sell you some and you could have some too! If you find ones that don't fit your desires or get too many offers (as unlikely as this is) let me know; I'm interested!

Gorgeous knife here, Ashy, someone is going to be a lucky owner. I have one and it is one of my best cutters. Slightly blade forward chopping, thin behind the edge. GLWS.

Re: When to teach knife skills to kids

Great suggestions. I'll be in the garage this weekend building a wooden knife with a Ho Wood take off Wa handle!

When to teach knife skills to kids

Does anyone have thoughts (or articles) about what the right age is to teach knife skills to kids? I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter who loves to pretend to help me cook in the kitchen. She has respect for the edge of a knife, but I worry that it is too early to put a real knife (aside from a butter ...

Re: Question about ideal progression for Blue #2 and Aogami Super

I would echo much of what everyone above has said. Put simply: 1. Re: Konosuke MM

Yup, you are right. The MB. Thanks for clarifying. The YS is the hammered finish and the MB the KU one.

Re: Konosuke MM

Is that because it's a M.Hinoura collab, and thus the KU finish and distinct shinogi? That would be my guess.

Re: Konosuke MM

I have both the FM and MM, and like the shape and cutting performance of the MM a little bit more. My example feels more blade heavy and tends to fall through food a little more. The tip feels more nimble on the FM, but for general cutting I actually prefer the MM. I'm curious to know if anyone has ...
