Re: Carbon Skillets

The dimensions are in one of the illustration shots and you have to look at the pictures to get to it. It is 13.5 inches lip to lip with a 9.5 inch bottom. It's comparable to the Blanc Creative Saucier but WAY less money. We like it being 2 inches deep, and the handles are really good looking. One ...

Re: WTS: Kanehiro ginsan 240 gyuto

I have this knife in 210. It’s definitely not talked about much, but it should be. Great profile, sharpens easily, excellent fit & finish, and just a great all around task master.

My fav is probably a reverse seared ribeye but since that’s already been discussed, how about Brazilian style picanha or a reverse seared tritip? A couple pics to get you going... Re: Black Lotus Knives

The first thing I did was marvel at the patina on the blade and wonder what on earth Garrick was cutting to do that. I think I can see his thumbprint in the patina too! The blade looks very reactive and I was initially a little worried about it. Some spots almost look like rust but it’s mostly a ni...

I have been promising to show you guys my collection for a while and eventually had some time to take some group shots. First off, my favorite Japanese blade designs...willows and slicers. https://knifelife7.files.wordpress.com/2019/08/yanigibas_8-1-19.large_.jpg Left to right. Konosuke Fujiyama by...

Seriously nice photos. You and Steve are really at it :D
While we're on the subject, how do you embed these super large format photos to the forum?
Dan, I do the same as Steve. I use Imagur as the host and copy the link to embed the photo.

These pins look great, but I’m still on the edge of my seat waiting for the coins!!! I just got an email yesterday about the Takeda coins. “Mark, I hadn’t talked in a bit so I thought I would let you know the progress. I had taken a few elements out of the design so that I could send the dies out t...
