WTS Masamoto KS custom handle
I'm going to let this one go so I can order a custom knife this month which I'm super excited about! This is a newer grind. I'm the second owner but it's been very well cared for and it's not seeing any board time at all after I got Marko. I thought I'd hang on to it to see if it actually would come...

Re: USPS Shipping Delays
:!: Was that's very cool. Thank you It looks even better now that I've actually detailed cleaned it and polished everything. I really like the way the glass keycaps are very comfortable to type on and they look great. I plan on getting some fitz metal polish and really getting the nickel plating as...

Re: USPS Shipping Delays
I will do that! I'm in the process of moving right now so it's boxed up but here is a picture I took a while ago before I really did a much better job cleaning it up.

Re: Who owns a Takeda mioroshi Deba?
In case it makes a little bit easier for someone to respond what I'm looking for is some relative dimensions to the length of the blade. The product sheet on the website gives you the basic dimensions obviously of course they change quite a bit with his knives but I'm wondering about the distal tape...

Re: USPS Shipping Delays
We love the postal service and as soon as they get through these difficult times we'll be using them again for most of our shipments as usual. We've made many friends with the carriers that have served us over the past 20 years. We want them to succeed, but we want our customers to get their packag...

Who owns a Takeda mioroshi Deba?
Just like the title says I'd like to chat with someone who's owned or does owns one of these for thoughts and feelings.
Thx!

I was going to suggest the same thing.
I really have not seen all that many nakiris by konosuke out there honestly.
but then again I've never really looked for those specifically.

Re: Convince me to NOT buy a Masamoto KS or Takeda Gyuto
Sorry i dont mean to hijack the thread at all, but I have the same similar question as OP, and to not start another thread, I am looking at the Anryu vs the gihei b2. While on paper they seem to have very similar stats, the shapes tell a different story. The way the gihei holds its height longer an...

Re: Convince me to NOT buy a Masamoto KS or Takeda Gyuto
absolutely speaking from experience in both in my own trial and error and also because I've given gifts of knives over the years. I'm going to suggest a knife that I always suggest to people who want an excellent performer and are going to jump into the Japanese knife realm' Gihei Blue #2 Gyuto 240m...

Re: shigefusa 180mm nakiri
It's whatever I just wish I had known because there was other people that would have bought it for what it was. I priced it like this so somebody could hopefully try a knife by this maker because they are hard to come by and because they are normally more expensive. Had I known I could have decided ...

Bought this from.me and he's planning on cutting it down and growing it into a gyuto/chef knife.
So disappointed had I know that's what he was going to do I would have never had sold it to him.

Re: Takeda - Did he stop making the classic series? Just NAS now?
He’s doing them twice a year and he’s only sending them to us and one other retailer as well as selling some direct. He hasn’t mentioned discontinuing them. His big problem is they can ship Japan Post any longer to the USA because of the pandemic. Hi Mark. New member here. First, I dod not know he ...

Re: What's your current go to knife?
I will echo that I have a newer one and have been impressed by edge retention, everything about it really. I'm only a home cook, rarely cooking for more than five or six. But the edge lasts just fine in that context. I sharpen with a full progression ever couple of months and touch up in between. I...

Re: wts waring professional CB-6 blender/boat motor
I know that blender! It is an industrial level beast. Had it behind a bar at work and was my go to for all the frilly bevs. Kinda like a vitamix on steroids. And amphetamines. When I was prepping during the day and someone was hogging the Robo-Coupe, that thing came in handy. it's a great descripti...

I was also kinda surprised the Masamoto KS didn’t make an appearance. When I started here, that was the unicorn everyone was looking for. Maui, I’m with you on the Tojiro ITK bread knife. I gave mine to a friend to get him started on J-knives, then found them out of stock. Still waiting for them to...

Re: wts waring professional CB-6 blender/boat motor
I want to give this a bump. I also thought about it and I'm not opposed to trades. for instance I definitely need to and have been doing some reading and watching videos to find something to replace my petty/utility/sujihiki because my brother is going to end up keeping mine older one. somewhere in ...

That is a steal Thank you for noticing! This item is not gonna get any cheaper guys. after this weekend I’ll probably pull the listing because I’ll be in the middle of moving and If I have to move it I should try break it down into parts or sell it after the market changes. BUT! it’s also another t...
