Hey guys, title says it all! Both knives lightly used and sharpened a few times. Neither have ever been thinned or chipped. The Shi-han has significant patina but no rust, and the Shibata has some mild markings. Asking $220 w/free shipping for either, or $410 total for both.

Respectfully disagree. Some good offerings new if you want to go that route. Anryu in particular stands out. Hammered, kuriochi, suminagashi edge, some different flavors all under $300. Kurosaki AS KU also stands out as a sub-$300 gem. Funny you should mention that, I went with an Anryu AS! Thanks ...

I think you'll have a tough time finding those steels under $300 in that size. Edge retention on my Yuki Honesuki is quite good -- I would think that a good option in a handmade, clad knife (it's in stock). Maybe you could find a Masakage Mizu; I haven't seen one in that size.
