Re: How to trade knives?

That's a tricky one. Curious to see what others have to say. Really no protection. The hope is that in your due diligence you only trade with respected/well known members of forums. Apart from trying everything diplomatically it would be nice to know who the issue was with so others may avoid the sa...

Re: Carbon Skillets

I have a problem finding a small and comfortable wok frying pan. My wife sent these reviews today, says the options are good. I don't know much about these things. Will they work well in quality? I'd go with that Mauviel carbon #1 on the list. That should work great. Curious why. At 3mm thick it is...

Re: WTS Matsubara Tall Nakiri B2

Guess these are not as popular as they used to be. Fun knife, I just lean towards Western makers.

Let's try $200.00 (85, gulp, 85 bucks of retail).

Re: WTS: Tanaka R2 240mm Gyuto Wa Handle

I have the Western version of this and it is easily one of my favorite knives. The grinds and heat treatment between the Western and the wa are almost identical. This is a heck of a deal

The last one I re-handled was destroyed in removal but you may get lucky. No harm in trying first.

Funny, I was looking at these the other day. I am thinking about getting one of the petties. Had one when they were first released maybe a decade ago and gave it to my dad but have been itching to get another since.

Re: Stainless or stainless clad beater workhorse.

I always catch flak for saying this one, but my go to stainless beater is my Warther. It just takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Ground thin, distal taper, french profile, S35VN is relatively easy to sharpen but imo will outlast Tojiro DP, Mac and definitely the mis dragon. Great all rounder, riv...

Perhaps consider placing these on the side of your fridge. Definitely not as photographed.
Have you done this? I am in a similar situation where I just moved into a new house and am struggling to find a good spot for my mag bar.
