Re: What happens when you gift a knife

That will heal in no time. Barely a flesh wound.

Sometimes that first cut with a sharp knife is so miraculous users often slip into a slight dream like state and loose control of body functioning....the realization you have been cutting with crap up until this point is often too much to bear.

Re: Looking for a shallow egg pan

For over easy, a non stick is the only way to go:https://www.webstaurantstore.com/choice-10-non-stick-aluminum-fry-pan/407FRYPANNS.html I never used a spat when I was in professional kitchens, just a good amount of oil and a light wrist flick, but with 10 inch diameter you should be able to get a sp...

Re: Newbie between use

Welcome to The forum. I guess that would all depend on whether you intended to keep them in a block or just sitting on the counter top. I don't believe I would ever leave a non-protected edge on the countertop. The reason is things on countertops get moved around a lot and I would hate to see an edg...

Re: tip up or down?

I go tip down because of the proximity to opening a cabinet, but where space allows I go tip up. It all depends on where you want it and what works for you. I have never lost a tip as a result of storing tip down.

Reactivity will reduce once a stable patina is built up. It will gradually get darker and cover more area, but what you are seeing is totally normal.

It was me, lol You're going to make somebody very happy. Are you going to try for one of the new B2s down the line, with the specs you were really after? I will likely try for it if I can find one. I am pretty picky and have owned a few fujis in the past...they never resonated with me. I figured th...

Re: Care for stones - best practices?

Like Carlo, I also avoid putting them back in the boxes for at least a few days or more. I leave them in an out of the way space on a rack for at least a week.

Also, avoid rapid drying as drying too fast can crack the stones.
