Re: Is this misleading?

Yeah I went to check how it looked in the ad and saw the x was gone. Probably better to just leave it off like you did and not overthink it.

Re: Feeling discouraged.

I think, when you get a new nice knive like another fm or something, the love will come back. When you damage a new knife like that, it really hurts. And honestly, I don't think the knife will ever be the same for you. I'm pretty sensitive to tipped knives. It just bugs me alot. If it's just slightl...

Re: Well I f*(ked that up!

So I get in my new Yangiba. Edge needs work as usual and blade is bent and torqued. Expected. So what do I do? Sharpen it a bit to find out where the blade torques and put it in my wood torquing jig. I apply force and hear tink! First thought: F*****(k!!! New blade was only 1 hr old... I am so disa...

Re: Konosuke FM Gyutos 270mm

As long as they are not white #2, I'd like one. White #1 or Blue, which I'll assume will be blue#2. I'd like ebony with blonde horn or ho wood with blonde horn, definitely not a one piece handle. Like it with kono saya please.

Re: Blade show 2020

Thinking of attending this year. Though the dates are a little off, I’m thinking of trying to make it to Portland if it’s still on (the latter will be easier for me to schedule). Anyone still planning on going to either this year? Or are people going to wait until 2021? I'm not scared. I'll go if m...

My latest Fuji fell off the counter in a freak accident, tip is totally gone...Of course it was my new Fuji. Couldn't have been any of my other knives. I got a serviceable tip back but it's not the same. I'm pretty heartbroken.
Dang man, that sucks!

Re: Show us your new handle

I just got my Takeda Classic 240 back from @Jobone the other day, and I’m totally smitten. We kept the design on the simpler side of things, and I think that it really complements the blade perfectly. The handle is royal ebony with a brass/copper mokume ferrule cap. https://i.imgur.com/saeQywS.jpg ...

Re: Show us your new knife!

Some people like lasers, but I’m not one of those people. I like my knives to have some muscle, and this Yamahide 270 W#1 is the epitome of heft. While I still need to get more acquainted with this one, I’m pretty astounded by its performance. I’ll know more over the coming weeks, but this knife ex...
