As Mark mentioned, we're proceeding them.

The finish will be different because those will be sharpened by another sharpener, but I hope you'll like them.

We'll try our best!
I am positive we will Kosuke!

You can do anything with a 210-240mm gyuto, a paring knife, and a bread knife. If you don't cut crusty bread you don't need the bread knife.

Re: What’s the vintage Swedish Kono?

Meh, look at it this way. You can always get from one red light to the next at a quicker and more enjoyable pace regardless of the inability to take advantage of all the performance advantages offered. That should be enough of an advantage if you are truly interested. What :? That is, without a dou...

Re: What’s the vintage Swedish Kono?

Yeah.. these new Togo Reigo have really upped the ante on price But they also represent a big uptick in time spent per knife, along with the ever dwindling stores of this crazy steel. Actually I was surprised. It was less expensive than I thought to would be given the work that has gone into them.

Re: What’s the vintage Swedish Kono?

Omega has the backstory nailed. I was lucky enough to grab a Togo Reigo from the initial run. If I remember correctly, there were 4 gyutos made available to the public via Tosho: 2x 210mm and 2x 240mm paired by handle material. I have to many knives, to many synthetic stones and to top it off I'm not even a good cook. So why not get started into naturals so I can get to many of those too! Then I will have to much of everything to cook my shitty food with!
