You jerk  I have to save up for that. My dream vacation is OD’ing on noodles and Sapporo in Japan! Now that I’m a j-knife junkie, the only thing better would be going with you! You just have to make sure my body gets back home

Re: Glitter. Glitter everywhere!

Try using compressed air to loosen it up and a wet dry vac. After 25 years of dealing with malamute hair everywhere it can be worse. A moist sponge does wonders getting malamute hair scooped up. Ken Man that sounds like work, but worth it. Glitter is the worst. Even our four years crafts from schoo...

Knife arrived in good order.
She's got a confident heft about her, and her looks are... serious. This blade looks like it can blow through anything. Nothing dainty about this beast.
I'll have chop us some cabbage soon enough :)
Yes do the cabbage please!!

When ever you got a project going on, you should ask him to give you a hand...

Re: Who has tried their kono western Sweden gyutos

That sounds about what I was expecting. That’s interesting to me. I have tried both Kono hd and w2 and found the food release to be better than expected. Is the western different? Yep, I have the same thoughts. I do like how Nick explains it though. Food release on every laser I own still beats the...

That sounds about what I was expecting. That’s interesting to me. I have tried both Kono hd and w2 and found the food release to be better than expected. Is the western different? These are all mixes of relative distinctions. I will readily admit that my HDs and other Konos are on the "poor" side o...

Interesting neighbor

Just found out I share a backyard fence with this guy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9uUdtDO3CNc His name is Kent, and he was also the rep at a local commercial kitchen store I’ve bought many things from. I had no idea he had this talent. Apparently he’s been on some other late night show in America...

Re: For Sale: Matsubara 240 B#2, Yoshimi SG2 240

The yoshimi is easily the best looking knife I’ve seen. I would not say performance is lacking, just not as good as other lasers I’ve tried. Then again, no laser looks as good as this one. Pretty good trade off imo. Great knife!

Re: Gyuto Birthday Gift for Aspiring Chef Under $175ish

Welcome! I like the Kanehide 195 gyuto rec. I had the 210 and it’s one of the best knives for the price. That chromax though, is tough to beat at the price. I haven’t used because it’s basically brand new selection to cktg, but it’s probably going to be the most recommended knife for a while. It’s g...
