WTS: Konosuke FM & Masamoto KS
Hello, I'm selling two of my knives from my collection due to some financial issues, I'm trying to get close what I paid. The two knives are pretty self explanatory, a Konosuke FM Blue #2 240mm and a Masamoto KS White #2 240mm. Both are brand new, never used or sharpened, both comes with a saya. htt...

Going to Japan soon...
Hello, I know that multiple people on this forum have been to Japan, do you ever try to pick up any knives while over there or is it just as easy to get them online nowadays? I will be going late august and was wondering if there were cool knife shops that I should check out. I will be in Tokyo, Kyo...

Re: Kitchenaid Stand Mixer Dying
I second the all metal meat grinder attachment for the kitchen aid, I had the same problem using the plastic one for years. Durability was not there. I now have the all metal one. Love it. https://www.surlatable.com/product/PRO-3984101/KitchenAid+Metal+Food+Grinder+Attachment Also used kitchenaid mi...

Natural stones for dummies
Hello, I have been sharpening my knives for quite some time with the Shapton series of stones from glass and now to my current set the Shapton Pros. One thing that I am always curious about when I buy new knives is that where do you start with natural stones and should I be including them in my arse...

Re: Crispy pork skin finish.
Honestly crispy pork skin is hard to cut thru even with a good knife (think using your knife on crusty sourdough). So I usually use bread knife to make the initial cut (marking) then come in with a slicer or long gyuto.

Re: Show us your new knife!
Very sweet. I rather enjoy the White-steel version from this line. Have you had a chance to use it yet? I have used it and it pretty awesome, love the wide bevel. When I was there they did show me the white line but it was very short at the heel, almost gyuto/suji. I generally prefer white steel to...

On my road trip across America, I had a chance to stop by Carbon Knife Co in Denver. Awesome duo there, thanks Craig and Tina for this awesome knife.

Re: Sharpening Marks on new Kono FT from Bernal
Wow, that's a shame. I totally agree that the FT, from the sound of it will be around more than the Fujiyama. The full refund is a good choice. Still must have be a bummer to open and see those marks. I can tell you from using my FT, its awesome. Super thin grinding such a cool looking laser.
