Re: Sinker Cypress

In its natural form, cypress is not dimensionally stable. It moves, shifts and has some minor cracking. I just installed a 500sf deck of it in the fall. Doesn't seem to twist, though. And it lasts a long, long time. There is big money in reclaimed cypress siding, and plenty of stuff over 100 years o...

Re: Cimeter rec

Grab a Vic or Forschner. I have a 12" sani safe with fibrox handle and like the handle for the application. But those other two have better steel IMO. There used to be a huge cow sword on CKTG, but it was just too big. I used 10" and 12" back when I was cutting steaks for restaurant. ...

Re: Covid vaccine today

Drap, I feel ya. My wife is a HS counselor in SD Co., just south of you. It is a tough road for educators - balancing expectations of families, expectations of school districts and personal boundaries. Unions are helpful, but often leave a half empty/half full bag. Thank you for what you do as an ed...

Re: Covid vaccine today

This thread has gone down eerily similar to another Covid thread many months back, with eerily similar 'support' for certain propositions that were bunk, with eerily similar participants. Let's just all agree that this thread was started so that people could comment on their covid vaccination experi...

Re: Stove/Range died - Recommendations?

Thank you Mr. (Ms.?) Delmar. Most helpful things to consider. The burners on your GE, what is the BTU on them? The other thing I have to consider, is much better ventalation. I hate what I have now, a microwave/ventaltion in one things, does vent to outside, but really doesn't seem to do much. For ...

Re: Stove/Range died - Recommendations?

It's been a number years since I had the GE,.but it was either 12.5k or 15k for the highest flow. My current LG is 18k and 12.5k on the top two. The 18k works best with a wok, but aside from that, either work well for higher output.

Re: Stove/Range died - Recommendations?

I bought a new gas stove a bit over a year ago. All I can say is that the 5th burner in the middle is useless because the heat output is super low. So, don't pay extra for that. 101% agree. Got an LG with the 5th burner in the middle. You just can't fit 5 pans on the stove unless they are all tiny ...

To the OP, if you are interested in pellet grills, let me know. I have used and have owned many. I can probably shave a few hours off your research and point you in a good direction.

Petite means smaller. So the dimensions are a bit 'less' than the other handles.

If you want any particular dimensions, just let me know.
