WTS: 255mm Ikeda KS AS suminagashi gyotu

4 of 4. I ordered some customs recently and a Kono from Mark at CKTG and made the foolish mistake of counting the number of 210-240mm gyutos I had. The number was a bit obscene. I've got a number of knives that I have barely used, and I think it is time to pass them along. On the block over the next...

Wanna trade for your bike in the avatar? LOL.

Funds from sale of knives will be going to fund purchase and part-out of new MTB, ironically.

Re: Best smoker recommendation

Ok, the best smoker has gotta be Willie Nelson. Snoop Dogg probably comes in second. Marley was the best. Hands down. But 'Ol Willie is definitely a good pull. There are countless stories of musicians talking about when they were most...420ish...and it is amazing how many of those stories involve W...

Re: Japanese Whiskey suggestions

Whisky, not whiskey - got it. Scarcity/availability is creating high prices, making much likely 'not worth it' - got it. I'm not a smoke bomb peat guy. Feels like I am drinking extract of wood chips. I'm pretty much at $30/bottle max for whiskEy. Ive curtailed whiskey and wine purchases pretty drama...

Japanese Whiskey suggestions

I have a revolving door of ~5-8 bottles of Kentucky bourbon whiskey in rotation, a few misc. sour mash and ryes. I would like to sample some of the Japanese whiskey variants.

I frankly am looking for the more reasonable offerings, not the $100USD / Lt offerings.

Any suggestions?

Re: kiritsuke and a gyuto

This is a very gross simplification, but a point worth making to your post: Traditionally, a Kiritsuke was awarded or bestowed on a chef following ample showing of competency on more robust knives. The 'k-tip' is generally more exposed and often thinner than a gyuto tip, making it more prone to suff...

Re: Kitchen pan(s) recommendation

Handles - I hear ya, but when I look at photos of the AC D3 to the Demeyere 5-plus, man they are really close in shapes. But human hands are pretty darn sensitive, so what appears visually subtle can be a much bigger divide with touch. If you made me chose, I agree - I'd take the AC by a hair. But ...
