Does anyone have any recommendations for finding someone online who produce high quality custom handles like the ones shown here? I would be interested in buying a few

I can help. Check out my sub forum and see if you like what you see.

There are other makers with sub forums here too.

Beautiful handles! Any tips on getting the perfect octagon shape? I tried to make one and failed terribly.

It has 8 sides. 360/8=45, if you have a bench sander set the table to 45 and go to town.

Lol. That's so simple.. yet didn't even occur to me until now. So I basically cut or sand flipping 7 times at 45 degrees?

Yup, essentially. I usually add my tapers in before hand so my ferrule will be 2mm smaller than the butt, then I just cut in the angles by flipping. I will do it gradually and make sure everything stays lined up, but if you have a bench sander or even router table it is pretty easy.

Sorry to derail the thread. Beautiful handles here...it's the finish work that takes a while.

The spalted tamarind looks great, and black horn works with that grain. WELL DONE!
