Yoshmiune Kurouchi white #2 240mm opened up a little and now razor sharp
Decided to change my edges back to a older way some while mixing my new learned and old remembered to accomidate the best of both worlds. Used a slightly different combo than usual on the stones and I'm happy with the results. I have no issues trying new things and experimenting using stones to see the best combo. Ill test on tomatoes tomorrow but here's the edge. Thank you for your time in looking at my pics.

Nice job! To clarify, you just worked on the edge? Is the blade road kasumi finish or just sand blasted?
Re: Yoshmiune Kurouchi white #2 240mm opened up a little and now razor sharp
As was from factory Kasumi finish according to the CKTG website. Only thing touched on my end was the edge. Only time I touch the finish is to work on the patina while cutting meat or tip repair. All knives are factory finish I don't usually mess with the finish I believe the maker made it that way for a purpose. Look up that knife on CKTG and finish is identical. I will polish a knife that has a shiny finish on it if required or thin behind a edge but as for the finish I leave it factory as always.

Not the best of cameras either. Since they have to be shrunk down to fit in the frame allowed it can make the finish look altered. But I never alter a finish unless its to get rust off.
