I assume a lot of you have noticed the Kuwabara knives in the CKTG new arrivals. They look interesting, single artisan knives for reasonable prices. I'd love to hear some more about this guy. What you all may not have seen is this:

That interests me a lot more than the rest of them. I definitely want one of those.

Re: Kuwabara Knives
Sorry I didn't see this.
I was offered these knives 5 days after leaving Nagasaki so I didn't have a chance to meet him. What's on the site is about all I know until I get back there. His knives are not unlike some of the other guys down there including Mr. Tanaka (Matsubara).

I didn't see this until Mark's bump today... Did anybody try these? I think these knives look beautiful... and life is too short to use and ugly knife!
Re: Kuwabara Knives
Definitely interested in the knife Lepus linked. I reckon this could be an excellent field / hunting knife too.
Spine thickness not given in specs. Anyone bought / used one ?

I think I may try one after the 1st of the year. Looks perfect for breaking down butts and venison.

Well I got mine today. Definitely sharp, rugged, and appears well made. Should make a great boning, hunting, and skinning knife.
Advertised as a 125mm, but mine measures 134mm. About 2mm thick with little to no taper until the very end.
Will review after I have used it some, but I can tell you this now, I like it.

Yep ! My thoughts too when i spotted it. That pronounced belly out at the tip rising to a dropped point. Mine should be here in a few days. Already scratching around for the makings of a sheath.
