Yahiko Shirogami Hairline 240 passaround
Yahiko Shirogami Hairline 240 passaround
Who is interested in a passaround of the Yahiko shirogami hairline 240 gyuto? This is a nice knife that punches well above its price point and is a very nice addition to the website. More people should know about this one so I decided to do a passaround. I'll leave this open through the weekend. PM your address to me so i can compile a list and order.

This one is on my list! Too kind man, I'd love to try it.
I'm Dave. I don't take myself too seriously and you probably shouldn't either.

Re: Yahiko Shirogami Hairline 240 passaround
Here is the order for now unless we pick up another participant.
1. Altadan
2. Igalor
3. Slobound
4. Pd7077
5. Misosatisfried
6. Gastro gnome
7. Kalaeb
8. Jbart65
9. Lepus
10. Cutuu
11. Cjmeik
Let me know if I left anyone out. Please keep in mind that this is a fully reactive blade. I don't care at all about patina, I'm more concerned about rust during shipping. Please rub a little oil on the blade before sending it along to the next participant. Sharpen it as needed and have fun with it. Pro environments fine with me, just treat it like it were yours. Thank you all for participating and I should get this out to Altadan on Monday or Tuesday. Enjoy.

Re: Yahiko Shirogami Hairline 240 passaround
Sounds fantastic. I look forward to participating.
I sincerely doubt it will only be February when the knife gets to us, Cutuu. March, maybe April. To get there by February 28th you're looking at eight days maximum per person, six to seven days of use and one to two to ship. That's hilariously optimistic. No American postal service is that reliable and something almost always happens along the way. Life does happen.
If I am about to ship the knife off on February 26th I will check in for clarification.
As a side note, if anyone along the way has any VCI paper, it might save some shipping woes. It really is great stuff. There is no way the knife will leave me without a VCI wrap.
