Goko Wh#1 240 Gyuto Adam Marr handle - SOLD!
Cleaning the drawers and editing the collection.
This was one of my earliest knives, but it has seen little use.
Goko white #1 240 gyuto. Buckeye burl custom handle from Adan Marr--really lovely.
Asking $245.00, including shipping to CONUS addresses and any Paypal fees.
Original edge, never taken to stones.
This knife was incredibly quick to start to patina. It was funny--it was advertised as white #1 stainless clad, but it sat not too far from the sink when I was washing dishes and a lone water drop must have hit it. I looked over hours later and there was a permanent spot where I expected the stainless cladding to be. Mark likely heard from others--he sent a note asking if mine was showing a patina. Oh yes! If you like, there are several threads about the knife--I think one went under the thread title of "island of misfit knives." Patina aside, people liked this one.
At any rate, a fine knife with a beautiful handle. And patina!
I'll post the measurements in a moment. I'll start with some images.

You should start a thread in the General section, allowing us to sign up somewhere and get a warning email, haha
The knife really is beautiful. So, is it stain resistant? Rust resistant?

I remember trying one of those on a pass around many years ago, a good performer!

Cindy...if I was not just about to commit to a rather expensive knife I would grab this just for that beautiful handle.LaVieestBelle wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 1:42 pm Neither stain nor rust resistant!

People. This is a wonderful blade with one of the best handles out there. And as usual...Cindy's price is beyond fair.

Beautiful blade! If your sitting on the fence on this one I can tell you that the seller is as solid as they come. I’ve bought a few knives from her and they always arrive in the condition they were described, packaged well and shipped promptly. Deal with confidence. I’m tempted but trying to control my addiction.

Joe and joanjet and Chris and altadan--all my thanks for the nice words. Now of course I think I should double the price or keep it. No--I need to edit! The knife drawer won't close...
Jeff and Sean--as always you guys are so lovely. Thanks for jumping in.
Ray--I want to know what you are getting, of course! Thanks to you as well.
