Re: Discount on my etsy
FYI you're missing info on length of four of the knives: the two prototypes and the kitchen set you broke up. It's usually good to have that info in both the listing title and in the description. Some people even take a picture with the knife next to a ruler.
To be honest, it always makes me a little sad when a maker drops the price... but I can also understand when they get tired of having some inventory hanging around too long.
Really digging the knives you're making with hamon! Good luck with your sale!

Re: Discount on my etsy
thanks for the tip! all my new listing will be alot better off. I dont want to sound lazy but I need to work a couple of the knives to even make them sellable. The set i broke up need a good thinning aswel as the edge is all belly. Might be doing this for a bit as im just trying to finance the future of knife making for me now.milkbaby wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 1:14 pm FYI you're missing info on length of four of the knives: the two prototypes and the kitchen set you broke up. Depending on your market, some people may be perfectly fine with more belly. I don't have an etsy store, but it's possible that there is a market for knives out there which have different preferences from what you find on the Japanese knife oriented forums.Willison_Knives wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2017 3:19 pm thanks for the tip! all my new listing will be alot better off. For example, I bet most people here prioritize chopping and push cutting for their main knife or gyuto. But in the general public, I bet a lot of people are rocking their knives. How you decide on your designs may also depend on who you want to market to, a lot of knife knut professionals or the average person who thinks a handmade knife is cool or would be a cool gift, etcetera...
