WTS Kanehide ps60 210 gyuto
Here's the item page on cktg;
https://www.chefknivestogo.com/kapsgy21.html
This was my 2nd gyuto and is still one of my favs. I've recently decided that I like taller 210's. I can see myself getting the 240 in the future. It's used of course, so it has some scuffing on the blade. The kanji is still plenty visible, and the f&f is still great. It has a crisp edge on it. I've said it in another post, this knife is easily all I need it to be and when sharp is laser-like in performance. Killer knife for the money. I'm asking 120$ shipped. PayPal fees would be paid by buyer unless you want to "friend" the money. Thanks for looking

Hmmm interesting. I'd rather have the money, but that sounds like a hell of an opportunity.

Earlier I sent a PM to easilver saying that I would be interested in his 240. I think the pieces are available for a 3-way transaction where everyone wins.

Tell me how that works. You buy from him, then he buys from me? Set it up and I'll do it.gotmail1414 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2017 11:24 pm Earlier I sent a PM to easilver saying that I would be interested in his 240. I think the pieces are available for a 3-way transaction where everyone wins.

Surprised this knife is still here. Really fantastic value as a great use it and forget about it while very, very busy knife.
Every time I think about selling my 240 - because I have way too many gyutos - I take it out, use it, and smile because it's such a nice to use, convenient blade. Sort of like that old pair of jeans that always fits, feels good, and you can wear anywhere.

I'd match what this earlier listing for a ps60 went for in feb ( $85 + $5 paypall fee and free shipping) if you want.

You might remember it, as you left a comment at the bottom after it was sold.
If you're interested , the cheap , slow usps shipping is fine.
Also, I'm in Canada, and there often seems to be some trepidation with regards to shipping here and the border for some users (only shipping to CONUS). So I figured I'd just mention a few things about how it works, as I've ordered a lot from the states and have never had a single issue.
Usps works great. It takes 7- 10 days to get here consistently, and thats from all over the states. Had a guy screw up my postal code from oregon by reversing a number for a letter, and that was fixed on the fly without any intervention.
Canada post (our usps) takes over at the border. They seem to have a pretty refined and embedded logistical working relationship with usps, as I was able to track usps code within the canada post system before they took over. Canada post employees could look it up in their work system and give an estimate for when i could expect it to change over to them. So they seem to do some tracking before the shipment even gets to the border.
If i'm not home, there is a community box in the basement of my apartment. If that's full, it's dropped at the corner post office and held until I pick it up for at least a week. Tracking is done with my phone (obviously).
And if, for some bizarre reason there is a problem with the border or fees or anything, I'll handle it on my end.
So the only real difference on your end in terms of complexity is ticking the international box (as far as I've been told). Should be easy.
This has worked for laptops, laptop screens, bike parts, laptop chargers, etc, and no issues.
All I'd need is the tracking number they give you when you mail it.
So, like I said, if you're interested, just let me know. And if not, thanks and good luck.

Re: WTS Kanehide ps60 210 gyuto
I am very interested in this knife but new to this forum and new to this world of knives. Can you enlighten me on the great qualities of this knife and any drawbacks of this knife? I have also read great reviews about Takamura Chromax gyutos. Unfortunately I am just wading into the shallow end as I have only ever used a Victorinox Fibrox my great grandfathers butchering knives that I venture to guess we're carbon steel and a Rhyneland Santoku.
