Vintage Forgecraft 10" Chef Knife - SOLD!
Vintage Forgecraft 10" Chef Knife - SOLD!
For Sale:
Vintage Forgecraft 10" Chef Knife.
An American classic. Profile and proportions are very similar to the Masamoto KS (see pic below). The knife appears to be in unused vintage condition. I don't see any indication it was ever used or sharpened. Factory radius on the tip and heel. Thin grind. Handle is in great condition. The scales have a very slight wiggle, but I think they'd tighten up with some oil. Otherwise, the knife is a prime candidate for a custom makeover. This has been sitting in my project drawer for too long and it is time to find it a new home.
246mm Edge
50mm at Heel
2mm Spine
The 10" Chef seems to be the most coveted model. I can't gauge an accurate value but it seems they sell for over $100 these days. The forum has been good to me. Let's call it $75. I cover PayPal. Buyer splits shipping to a US address.

Yeah, the butcher knives are a little more common. I had a bullnose butcher a while back in about the same condition. Old but unused. It cleaned up real nice with some oil and a light sanding on the handle. I gave it to my brother as a gift since he trims a lot of brisket
Also, if anyone makes me a fair offer I'm open to talking-
