This is a JKI knife: gesshin-kagekiyo Product page
The core steel is fantastic and it is thin behind the edge with wide bevels. Wonderful distal taper. very well balanced knife. Original fit and finish on this knife was excellent (a feature of JKI knives), but the knife is used and has minor scuffs and scratches on the blade. Saya pin is missing.

If only this was a true 240! Nice knife Ed, someone who likes undersized 240s will love it.

This knife sharpens easily to a razor-edge. For folks who like this style with the crisp shinogi, it's hard to beat.

I'll agree, 220mm to 230mm has become my sweet spot as well. Somebody will certainly be treating themselves well by picking this catch up.
