CUT BROOKLYN 240 GYUTO - SOLD!
CUT BROOKLYN 240 GYUTO - SOLD!
Yeah, this is an odd one to see here indeed. But that doesn't take away from how well this knife performs.
It was sent to Jon at JKI a few months ago for a tune up so now it cuts better than ever. What I would personally describe as a true workhorse.
Steel is 52100 carbon, handle is black and orange G10.
Dimensions:
Edge length -248mm
Height at heel -52mm
Spine above heel -3.5mm
Spine 1cm from tip - .28mm (wicked distal taper to a very thin tip)
Weight - 286.46g
Similar profile to the KS, with better stats and performance. I'm my opinion of course.
His current pricing is $650. My asking price is $550 which includes PayPal and shipping 2 day priority conus.
And now some pics:

Re: WTS CUT BROOKLYN 240 GYUTO
By reach do you mean monetarily or geographically?
Suppose I should mention for anyone interested located outside conus, I'm happy to ship abroad. We'll just need to look into shipping costs.

Woah. That's crazy low for this sort of knife... I wish I had moved a few other knives recently to free up room. This shouldn't last long.

I would have to sell a knife to make this beauty mine. I have a Masakage Yuki 210 Gyoto, which just came back from the CKTG sharpening service. Not that exotic, but out of stock.
Re: WTS CUT BROOKLYN 240 GYUTO
Those are nice knives. I just bought the Masakage Zero posted here.
As a side note, looks like Joel just recently raised his pricing to $750 on these!

Haha, your side of course. A $750 knife for $350? Sounds pretty good....
I think whoever gets this will be genuinely, and extremely, impressed. If this were a 220mm it wouldn't even be here. I'd be keeping it.
I've been in the process of slowly selling off anything above 230mm.

Yessir. At the time it was thicker along the spine than his normal profile.
