Matsubara Blue #2 Nashiji Gyuto 210mm - SOLD!
$165 shipped to CUS.

This was a shared-cost passaround, so I am selling it for the residual value + shipping cost, hence the good price: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4463&start=40#p36096
These knives vary a bit, but I think this is a very good version of this knife. See the passaround comments for more specifics. I like this knife, but need to make room for some new knives, so this one needs to find a good home.

This is actually a great knife, just not for me. It has that heel height so many people seem to love.

This thing ticked most of my boxes on paper, I just never had time to test it. Tall, thin, nice profile, and a great taper for a thin tip. Someone will love this I bet. If it were a 240, I'd probably grab it just due to the nice price!
I'm Dave. I don't take myself too seriously and you probably shouldn't either.

Used it tonight and am pretty stunned how good the grind and balance is on this one. Won’t be too broken-up if it doesn’t sell. Thanks for the positive posts my friends.

I've used three Matsubara knives so far, including this one. Quirky and interesting knives. Not perfect by any means, but excellent performers. These are generally tall knives with some heft, but they cut with more agility than one would expect. The tips thin out very nicely and the edge is quite thin. A pretty good flat spot near the back but it rocks pretty well, too.
I've bought a 240 recently and it's out on loan, but so far I like it more than I thought I would given its size (8.1 oz, 55mm tall). The 210 is much lighter and thus a more nimble. Excellent deal.

I’m surprised this hasn’t moved. If it’s still here tomorrow I may lose to the temptation, fair warning if your thinking about it.

You caught me by surprise nakneker. I'm leaving on a 1-week vacation, so you have time to cool-down. Hopefully you're still interested when I return, but I won't hold you to it.
Cheers,

Lol Ed, enjoy your vacation. I don’t see me changing my mind but we can talk when you get back. Go have fun.

I've been purposefully off the Classifieds for a while, and now that I've paid a visit I'm really surprised no one's picked this up yet!
For 154$ this is a steel - esp. for anyone looking to get into Jknives, or is hesitant about carbon steels (this one is stainless cladd).

When Ed gets back I’ll confirm I’m still on for buying it. I think he thought I was caught up in an impulse buy, which isn’t all that untrue but I’m still on for the purchase. I think it’ll be a fun knife to play with and then release.
