I love this knife but I want a 270mm version while I can get one.
So I need to sell this ASAP and hopefully turn it into the next size up!
Got on may 20th.
Oiled the handle and kept in in great shape.
Since the 240mm sell out right away it was a pain to get one.
If I can't work this so that I get a 270mm then I'm keeping it.
These sell for $388 and I'd like to get as close to that as possible. (I paid $440 with expedited shipping)
That way I don't need to dip into my upcoming birthday/25 year anniversary of pro cook knife fund....lol.
I should also say if someone else ones a mint condition 270mm version of this knife and they are looking to swap that's also an option.
Thanks!
And hopefully I can finagle this all out.
toyama noborikoi kasumi 240mm gyuto - SOLD!
Re: Wts. toyama noborikoi kasumi 240mm gyuto
I just bought a 240mm Toyama about a month ago and absolutely love it...anybody on the fence about getting one due to their higher price point, don’t hesitate. The blade is an absolute dream and literally falls through food with little to no wedging. Not only that, Toyama is almost 80 years old and won’t be making knives much longer. GLWS!!!

Missed my chance to get a toyama 270mm by seconds!!!?!!.
So I went with the wanatanabe version because I could easily get it.
I'm curious to see how they compair because I've heard they are close and I've also heard that they are different.
Worse case I try her out and if it's not close enough sell it and try again down the road
