WTB Kurosaki/Richmond Laser 240 AS Gyuto

Post by lsboogy »

First time I tried one (a few years ago - what led me to this site) I thought it was a great knife. One of my chef buddies (real chef, way beyond me) had one and let me try it. they used to sold as Richmond Laser AS knives. Still want to get one for collection - they never seem to be available but I would like to get a decent one if anyone is willing to part with theirs.

I always thought that those were cool knives.
The most recent one I saw that was close was a 210mm by his brother so hopefully he will come up with a cool version in a larger size.

Wouldn't that knife look even more awesome with a cool stamp or engraving as opposed to the laser etched kanji.
If God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made animals taste so good.

Totally agreed, Jeff. I have a thing for engraved kanji.

Hi Isboogy,

I've got a lightly used 240 Kurosaki AS laser. I'm the second owner but the first must have barely used it. I've sharpened mine once or so and as a home cook only really bust it out for big holiday meals where I have a ton of heavy duty prep to get through. May be willing to let it go, send me a PM if your interested.

Cheers,
Chris

This one fell through - Chris wants to keep it as his next blade fell through. I'm still looking.

Yeah these are interesting knives.
I'd be curious to see if they ever come back in stock?
