This is an top-tier 1k with a strong fan following. It was my main synthetic mid-grit for a while but I always found myself exploring different options in that range. It just didn't sing to me like it does for so many others. As with most Choseras, this stone polishes above its stated grit rating. One could think of it more like a 1500 than a 1000.
These stones start out with a 25mm thickness and this one has only lost 2mm of its original thickness. Current measurements are 210mm x 70mm x 23mm.
