I had a couple inquiries about this - Most of these handles can be customized to prefered size, they can bed thinned and the ones without endcaps can be shortened. If I have the material, endcaps can be added or re-added. Prices may vary

Also had a request for a better photo of one

Hello,
Here are a couple more to consider. Price includes shipping to ConUS

Thinning, shortening and installing available

Double dyed maple burl with g10/vf highlights
One piece of burl that is double dyed purple/golden. I shook it up a bit with flipping the center spacer for visual appeal. The photos show a little more color than in real life, the colors really are a little darker and deeper. Reminds me of starry nights.. Now I have a Don McLean song in my head.
Price $85
Weight 39g Length 127.6 Widths 25x22.3 tapers to 21.7x18.4
A43DDB3B-13CA-4A6F-B37C-36D05EAC744E.jpeg
12F58C69-F3DB-4DCE-B004-FAC004BD2CF4.jpeg
Brown Ebony with Corian spacers and vf highlights. I wanted to keep the classic beauty of ebony simple, this theme of ebony seems to catch my interest. It feels awesome in the hand, very solid and stable. Ebony adds a little weight, so take that into consideration. This photo doesn’t do the wood justice, you can see a better shot on my instagram site.
Price $80
Weight 52g Length 143 Widths 24.1x20.2 tapers to 22x18.2

D-shaped Red dyed maple with East Indies Rosewood ferrule and endcap.
I had a request for type of handle, after doing it, I wanted to do it again. It’s a bit of a thrill to do, as it is free handed more than octagonal chamfering. One slip and woosh...
Price : $70
Weight 36g Length 138.8 Widths 25.6x22 tapes to 21.3x18

So, at 138mm, what size knife is this geared toward?

That generally would hit 185-240, but it’s pretty light weight so it would balance with some 165s. I may even consider it with a 270 razor. Handle size seems to be personal, one person I work with wants all his handles <130mm even with 240s. Other people with larger hands like larger handles.

When making that one I was targeting the 180-210 gyuto/santoku or light 240. It could could also be used with 240 Yanagi/Suji.

One more for D-handle

Spalted Maple with Guapinolillo (whos heard of that before) ferrule and endcap, brass spacer. Ok, I’m getting off on shaping these, it’s a blast.

The Guapinolillo is a nice find, a local dealer had it and is clearing it out. I doubt I’ll see it again, may be worth the 5 hour round trip for the last of it. It’s a nice dense wood that smells like rosewood when worked. The tones work well with the maple.

Price $95 - Sale Pending

Got a new 210 Shizuku I think this would look great on. Just hoping it's not too long. Original handle is 127 mm.

SOLD - All Handles

Thanks for everyone who had the trust in my work, gave me words of encouragement and helped me learn this cool craft. I will be taking a break and will be back after Thanksgiving, most likely with a dedicated section with the other merchants.
