WTS: Takeda Classic AS Large Nakiri 170mm

Here we go. A knife-drawer cleaning is long overdue. I have had great fun on this knife journey (in particular, way too much purchasing fun in the last few months) and it is time to reassess and edit!

I love Takedas, but find that the nakiri has lived its life as a drawer queen. Just don't ever seem to reach for this, as pleasant as it is. The nakiri shape turned out to be more of a novelty for me personally. This needs to find a new home!

Used only 5 or six times and then abandoned!

This is the AS Classic version. Very nice, very lightly used shape with one caveat. I cannot see or photo any microchips but when I run my fingernail against the blade I feel a few areas of "catching." It has not even been taken to the stones, and I am sure the next owner can remedy the still original edge.

Can you provide blade height & any aditional dimensions you can muster, just trying to get an idea of this one.... also a choil shot/ s-grind photo would be awesome

Height at heel is roughly 57.5 mm with a height at the center blade of about 58.5. The length is a little short for a 170--actually roughly 167 mm. Has a little curve to the edge, more actually than the Takeda bunka I sold a year back. I'll try to get a few more shots for you.

There is a fair amount of variability among these knives...hope the measurements help.
