Looking for my next

Post by linuxology » Sun Jun 24, 2018 8:27 pm

I bought a Takamura Migaki 150mm petty. I was thinking about a Harukaze Aogami Super Blue Steel Blade Next. What are your thoughts? I absolutely love the Takamura and it is one of my go to blades.

I was looking through posts that mention the Harukaze and saw this one. I’m not sure if you will read this, but here is my advice.

You could get an expanded line of thought by filling in some details. There is a list of questions at the top of the subforum that you could answer to give us a bit more to work with.

I can say the Harukaze AS line does have some points that resemble the Takamura Migaki line. It is a thin, high value knife. I just bought the 240mm gyuto and it is impressive.

Some context might help your query, though you should probably post it on the general discussion page, and not on someone else’s knife rec thread.

It seems like the perfect budget “laser”, though I have no experience. Always been interested. I’m sure others will chime in. Seriously though, at that price, just get it. Sell if you don’t like. No harm, no foul ;)
