These knives are headed out for a review and possibly a passaround. They are 52100 treated to 62HRC. From the top down: 270mm sujihiki, 240mm kiritsuke, and 230mm gyuto.

Thanks for looking.

I'd love a passaround on any of those but the kirtsuke looks especially tantalizing.

I also would love any of those to play with for a week but since I own a 210mm CII gyuto my preference would be the kiritsuke or the suji with the kiritsuke being the number one preference. Of course, if you need me to play with both ..........

Stunning work! Is the kiritsuke single bevel?

I will do my best to keep a running list of the passaround participants.....I am sending them out next week for a review....then we can do the passaround.

The kirit is double bevel.....I do have some steel that is too thick for my regular knives, so I may try some single bevels with it.

Steve Gamache has the knives right now and is taking a look at them.....after he is done, the passaround will start.....for simplicity, I am thinking about sending all three knives around to each person....downside is it will take longer and shipping cost will be a little higher, but there will be a lot less to keep track of and everyone will get to see each knife.....thoughts on that approach????

Very nice looking knives!

I know they're not the same exact length, but from the pics it seems life the gyuto and kiritsuke have similar edge profiles. It's that correct?

I would love to see them all. The shipping cost is a small price to pay for the opportunity to experience these.

They are somewhat similar, both are ground freehand, so there are differences.
