Very colorful Carter. Can't wait to see the finished work.
What's the block on the front left? Walnut? Ironwood?

Yup, that’s spalted jatoba. Not my knife, but I did buy that block for my cousin’s birthday.

Re: Recent Work
Here is a 230mm gyuto made of 52100 carbon steel. It is hardened to 62HRC and has a pretty thin blade and a nice distal taper. The handle is dyed and stabilized Oregon maple burl with a ferrule and endcap of buffalo horn with nickel-silver accents. It is available for $275.

The stone cottage and dahlia raised bed
One of the raspberry patches
Grape vines
The old chicken coop
A little sitting area by the stone cottage
