The knife in the last picture is a work of functional art. Subtle bling, I love it. Probably above my price point but my current grills are way above my price point so that never stopped me.

Its a new laminate composed of Blue#2 and stainless. Best guess it would be called Shichi Mai (seven layer)
The blade profile and size. is approx 8" blade. But I will have to measure it to get exact numbers on height, thickness and length, Its thicker then my standard gyuto. With a modified wa full tang handle style.
The bolsters are SUPERCONDUCTOR material. and the handle scales will be Giraffe bone with 3 pins.

hit me up on messenger or email.. for more info.

Wow, that's wicked looking! You gotta tell us more about it!

How many layers is that? The etching is gorgeous. What kind of material is the superconductor bolster and what did you pin them with? That handle is beautiful...

I will let the artist answer the finer points, but it is a 7 layer damascus that Randy calls Shichi Mai. Blue #2 and stainless.
Giraffe bone scales. Superconductor bolster. 2 Copper pins and a mosaic HHH pin. Copper spacers between the handle and bolster.
This superconductor is a piece of Titanium Niobium superconductor preform. It starts it's life as a huge copper block with hundreds of holes drilled into it. Into those holes Ti/Nb alloy rods are inserted. The whole block is then plasma welded in a vacuum until it's a solid billet. This is a piece of material that was not yet drawn into wire which would be the next phase in production. It has been formed into about 1/3 of original size in preparation for drawing into wire. When completed it has zero resistance and is used in Atomic Super Colliders.
Pretty cool eh 8-)
Cant wait to see how it cuts!!!!!!!

But will the superconductor bolster cause the blade to have zero resistance through product...that's what I want to know :-).

That is absolutely stunning, to say the least. WOW!
