Had this done not too long ago, handle by Ken's Custom Handles. This was a western to wa conversion.

Here's a New Mexico special: Shi-Han 240 in A2 with a Cody Paul handle (gidgee and blackwood). This is a special knife for me because I got to shmooze with both these makers in their respective shops while they worked on this beautiful combo.

This knife looks awesome! The steel and handle go great together.

I finally made my first handle. Tasmanian Blackwood with an ebony ferrule. I installed it on a Toyama 210 Nakiri. Working on my second one for a Kippington Gyuto with a fishhook grind. It came out pretty good, I learned a lot, not perfect but I’m happy.

Thanks for the guidance Steve and Andreu, it would have come out much different without your help.

That doesn’t look at all like a first handle. Nice job!

I think I may be the only person left on this forum that hasn't tried to make a handle.... :? Very nice Sean!

Yep. Top-Bottom Mazaki nashiji 240, Shiraki crescent moon 240 honyaki, Tanaka ginsan 240. Have a couple westerns, too.
