What kind of wax to seal tang opening in handle?

Post by Robstreperous »

Hi.

So I have a little bit of a void around the opening for the tang on a knife I just handled. (First time and the void's not so bad so no complaints on my end.) . The knife's R2 so I'm not worried about rust or anything.

What kind of wax do you use to seal up the void? Any wax at all? Candle wax? Sealing wax? Super secret unobtainable knife handle maker's wax?

Just figured I'd ask before I went and did.

Anything will work. Beeswax, superglue, paraffin wax

Ha Ben! Fitting for you to reply.

It's that Tsourkan handle you (somehow) pulled off intact on the practice blade about a year ago.

Thanks for the help.

I just put the Tsourkan on a Shibata.
