Re: Konosuke Updates
So it will only be offered through Tosho Knife arts and not CKTG this time around the Vintage Sweedish steel? If so that is ok. Just happy they are being released again. Thank you again Kosuke for your diligence in providing us with amazing knives all the time.

Re: Konosuke Updates
Disappointed that these won't be offered through CKTG. I will probably miss out on this knife now because I rarely check out Tosho Knife Arts.
If God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made animals taste so good.
Re: Konosuke Updates
Kosuke , blue super Kasumi finish Fujiyama !? I must have this . I must not miss the one .... Man that’s a dream come trueKosuke wrote: ↑Tue Jun 05, 2018 2:51 am Let me tell you about the Vintage Swedish Carbon knives.
=====================================================================================================
We have to tell you that we'll provide them only from Tosho knife arts from the second batch.
From CKTG, we'll think about the new material (should be Blue Super or something like that) with the special finish.
=====================================================================================================
About 5 - 6 years ago when we release the first Vintage Swedish Carbon knives from Tosho knife arts, we've talked about the exclusiveness from them.
As time goes by and with the special finish by the Fujiyama sharpener, I was confused about that and released the first batch from both Tosho and CKTG by mistake.
Now I remember and I think we should proceed the exclusiveness again.
(I've already talked with Mark about this)
I'm so sorry about the problem..
I'm happy if you can understand.

Re: Konosuke Updates
The character of Blue super is very different from Vintage Swedish steel, so let us keep thinking about the detail!

Re: Konosuke Updates
No reason not to ask, obviously, but I believe Western HDs were "indefinitely" halted a while ago...I know my 210 was the last batch Mark sold and it was part of a "found" old surplus of partially made knives in the factory after production had "ceased," not a recent batch; 240s have been even harder to find, especially with pakka handles. It does seem like the recent demand for the 210 and 270 SS Westerns may provoke a new round of builds; also, the W#2 line seems to appear with Western handles, at least in petty and suji sizes. So, we'll see... But I'd really, really doubt it.

Re: Konosuke Updates
Is there any more information about the new YS line at this point? Origins, inspiration, specs (besides being full length +)? I can't stop looking at this knife on Instagram

Thank you for talking about that.
You already may heard from Mark, but I've checked the situation of the workshop by his request then I found these half finished stocks as this!
===================
HD2 Western handles
Petty 150 (not so many)
Petty 210 (not so many)
Gyuto 240
===================
We'll try to provide these by the end of this year!
