They Khii Ebony has been in stock for a few weeks. I debated buying one for about that long before pulling the trigger and there are still some. I bet not many, though. Laurel would have been interesting!

Re: Konosuke Updates
I did, yesterday! I have not seen it. My wife inspected it and said it was good to go. I don't get to see it until Christmas morning. So, you know I am going to break out a bag of carrots, potatoes, onions and mushrooms on the morning of just for a test.

Re: Konosuke Updates
Yep...I know how you are feeling. I "believe" there are couple of boxes in the closet for me that will cut!
Re: Konosuke Updates
Kosuke,
What’s the status of the Fujiyama blanks getting ground ?
And the status of the upcoming vintage carbon series ?
Thanks for all the updates ! I wish Konosuke was more attainable !

Re: Konosuke Updates
<A> Fujiyama single bevel by the son of Fujiyama sharpener
<B> Fujiyama double bevel by the other sharpener in Sakai
<C> vintage carbon series sharpen by Fujiyama sharpener (himself) with accepting custom request
We're planning these now.
All the prototype should be ready by the end of this year.
<C> is a special project which nobody has offered before with the very limited blades (1 blade or less per month??), so let us keep thinking the detail.
(price, how to choose the customer, and so on)
Thank you for asking!
Re: Konosuke Updates
Oh boy , thanks Kosuke ! I am very happy to hear these things are in the works . Very excited for more double bevels ! And of course the vintage carbon series .
Keep us updated! We are all waiting patiently

============================================================
We've gotten the first prototypes from Fujiyama sharpener (2 styles) last week.
●developed style of the original Fujiyama finish
The edge is finished with Hamaguriba-style.
The kireha area is hollow grind style, but we think flat grinding can be accepted by many customers.
●no shinogi line style
Because of the Uwahiki finish, it seems there is a shinogi line, but isn't dimensionally.
The surface is smoothly ground, so we're asking him to the make different finish which doesn't have shinogi line.
This edge is also finished with Hamaguriba-style.
============================================================
This is all what we can tell you so far.
We'll upload those pictures on our Instagram page.
Thank you!
