Re: Welcome To Chefknivestogo Forums!
Just registered on the new forum and was hoping to get my post count brought over (can't PM yet). My old user name was mloeb130. It was a meager 43 posts, but its better than starting from scratch.

I just registered on the new forum. I had approximately 100 posts on the old site. Is it possible to have my post count restored?

Re: Welcome To Chefknivestogo Forums!
Hello everyone!
I didn't find any welcome or intro sticky so I thought I'd say hello here.
My name is Tom and I worked in a professional kitchen years ago and done everything from working the line to washing the dishes and mopping the floor with plenty of prep. in between
While I no longer cook for a living I do live to cook and have been doing so passionately every since.
I love CKTG and can't seem to stop finding things to buy there since I discovered the site about a month ago while looking for some better knives. I have since purchased several gyutos at the intro price point level to experiment with the steels and profiles to try and find a profile I truly like as I was, like most I suspect reared on the german knives. I only wish I had found this site years ago before I bought my Al Mar gyuto who's profile put me off of JKnives as it was expensive and left me with the impression that the Japanese profile was not for me.
Anyway enough about me, Hi, nice to meet ya.
