Hi,
I had to create a new account. I was curious if this is because of the new forum? My old login no longer works. I wanted to sell some of my knives, do I need to work my way back to 30 post?

thanks
Ryan

Ryan, what was your old username on the forums? I can set your post count to match the old forum accumulated total.

I'm new to the forum and have been doing a lot of reading on it and it is a great wealth of information here.
I've been into knives and sharpening for about 40 years now but just in the past couple years have discovered the more high end water stones both synthetic and natural.

As funds allow I plan on trying out some nice kitchen knives and it seems the choices are endless in that area. Anyway I hope to learn a lot more and contribute when I can.

Hi,
Just picking up my first ever Japanese knives. Been enjoying the surprisingly extensive learning process... and then there are stones.

Hi,
Discovered CKTG forums while searching for more Japanese Kitchen Knife knowledge. Previously a casual home cook, now more serious about learning about kitchen knife use, maintenance, and enjoying the whole experience. Happy to join these fora.

Good luck to all of you. I look forward to seeing your thoughts as you start further exploring what your family will call your "knife phase". It's always nice to see new perspectives, even on old topics.

Hi All,
I haven't been on the forum for quite a while now and as the site has migrated and I needed to set up a new profile, I figured I reintroduce myself for the benefit of those don't who don't know me. I'm a home cook living in NYC with a decent JK collection consisting of a lot of Kono Fujis, a couple Katos, a Shig and a handful of other makers/smiths. I use an EP for sharpening with a mix of J-nats and synthetics as I haven't really had the time to hone my hand-sharpening skills to the point that I wouldn't muck-up a grind or high-end finish/polish. Look forward to getting back involved with the CKTG community.
