A friend of mine works at a donations store and because of the central location in the city, they do not sell knives that get donated. He brought me this whole lot, most of which is not useful for me at all, but definitely some fun ones. Once I sort through I'll take another picture of the winners.

This one if just getting wrapped up. My second Black Lotus, 255x56 with mid weight grind, spaghetti oak handle. My first BL was such a joy to use I ordered a second. Jeff Steele collaborated with friends of mine and they came up with the idea for this knife together. Then Jeff did his thing and delivered. If you haven’t worked with him let me just tell you he is uber picky about what he releases. The stamp on this got double whacked if you will he wanted to trash it..... oh hell no! He graciously let me keep it. I like the stamp the way it is.

If you can dream it Jeff can do it but with my first one I did his twisted Damasus and it one of my favorites. His knives look good but the mid weight convex grind he does is a true performer. If you ever reach out to him let me know if I can help, I’d be happy to.

This is the second time I'm drooling over this knife today. Saw it on the BL Instagram earlier, had no idea it was going to you. Congrats. It's a true beauty.

After a few years down the rabbit hole of high end knives, few examples stand out anymore. This is definitely one of those exceptions. Absolutely stunning.

If you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have even noticed, I actually really like the stamp the way it looks.

This might be the most beautiful Damascus pattern I've ever seen on a blade, and an incredible looking knife.

Congrats!

Alright, mine is not quite a complete knife yet but it’s close! Here’s my black lotus just before the handle gets glued up. It’s a big feather Damascus 275x57 with gidgee handle and saya. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one! I’ll post more pics when I get it :D
