Re: Show us your new knife!
This one came in last week. Jikko B#2 suminagashi measuring 245 at the edge and 53 at the heel...my favorite dimensions! Just gotta get her a handle so that I can give her a workout.

Oh my. That’s a beautiful blade, being handleless shows her off even more. Nice find Steve, you always got your hands the good stuff.

Some killer Jikko blades. I really want to try a 240 in Blue #2. Hope you guys enjoy them!
Re: Show us your new knife!
Nice, you got one too! Good to see there was more than one available. Amazing knife
Re: Show us your new knife!
This Moritaka seems to be that one main knife I've been looking for. Fingers crossed!
So far for me, even the best Nakiri is not natural for me for my main knife, or my not tall enough Kiritsuke or other Gyutos I've tried. When I get to the requisite post count I'll be offering some of those for sale.

Are those angled reliefs on the ferrule as comfortable as they look? Looks nice. I’m a big fan of the KS type profile too

Yes, they are surprisingly very comfortable. I like the size he does of this profile, it is dead on 240mm x 50mm.Bluenoser87 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 19, 2018 10:22 pm Are those angled reliefs on the ferrule as comfortable as they look? Looks nice. I’m a big fan of the KS type profile too
