Show us your new knife!
Re: Show us your new knife!
I keep forgetting to get this up.
2019 Konosuke Fujiyama FM in White #1. Handle by Tony LaSuer. Bog oak ferrule, copper spacer, buckeye burl. Grabbed knife from Ashy/Kevin - A+ seller, fairly priced and damn nice guy. I stepped in just as handle was finished, so I take no design credit. LaSuer's work is top notch, handle install flawless. He even took a bit of time to answer some technique questions - very generous of him. Would not hesitate to work with either gent in the future.

Re: Show us your new knife!
That is the recent release of the original wide bevel Konosuke B#2 Fujiyama. I didn't think I
got one but was pleasantly surprised to find out different!
Gotta say, this knife feels awfully impressive just holding it and DAMN is it perty!

Fujiyama circa 2011 to 2013?
270 B2
Actual measurements: 261x55mm
This is much larger a blade than I prefer, but dammit it's just stunning to behold.

Re: Show us your new knife!
These aren't necessarily new knives, but they all have new shoes courtesy of DPham. His handles just keep getting better and better. Top to bottom..W2 gyuto made by Bill Howc,
Masamoto KS, Mazaki shirogami 2 hairline gyuto, Kono HD2 240 and finally a 240 Masakage koishi.

Looking at the pics, I was mesmerized and started to reply with an offer to buy. Forgot what thread I was in. So beautiful. Congrats!
