Have you put it to the stones yet? If so how did it go?

Re: Show us your new knife!
I am going to send you a PM as I tend to be long winded and don't want to go off topic here. I will say that I like this knife enough that I will review it after a month or so of use. But the short version is "well enough".
Re: Show us your new knife!
This is long overdo, I never got to post of my recent acquires from my Japan Vacation.
I visited many knife places but I always go to Konosuke and they never disappoint.

Sweet! Those wide-bevels are more and more rare these days, especially in 210. Love how you use the bag as a back-drop. I didn't realize they had an open store front!

Re: Show us your new knife!
Missed that. I find it comfy. Light, well finished but skinny which might be a turnoff for some.
Re: Show us your new knife!
I've been thinking of this one for a long time.
The VG10 Dammy with this same handle was passed around a year or two ago. Folks reported a great preforming knife, and the handle was indeed rather divisive. People were either "meh, it works," or "deal-breaker."
Thanks for buying and thanks in advance for your review. I look forward to reading it!

The only thing better than picking up a new Konosuke is going to Japan and picking it up in person!
AWESOME knives!

Newest acquisition: Masashi SLD 210 gyuto. I love the mirror polish & shield shaped handle. I wasn't too sure about the profile at first, but after using it a bit, I am in love with it. Nice and tall. Also made a custom saya for it. It matches the sujihiki I won earlier this year.
