Do you think I should pick these up? They look nice and they were offered to me.

I think they are great knives! I love mine.

I would buy one except I already did.... :D They are a crazy nice knife.
How well they might sell, you would know best. Jikko seems to be a name becoming more popular all the time.
Does anyone know the back story for this brand?

Mu impression is that Jikko is a retailer or middle man in Japan with close connections to the artisans. They don't produce anything themselves.

It is..but a bit short. And that is really a feeling bought on by habit not need.

There is a reason AEB-L is the goto stainless for makers like Devin Thomas and Randy Haas. Good stuff!

Only AEB-L I have is a lil' DCB Customs paring. Great little knife, very sharp.

I bought a Daovua blade & half-assed stuck one of my new handles on it (Not enough epoxy & now I have gaps to fill). I love this blade!! It's very thin, took a keen edge right away, & feels great on the stones. I only put a quick working edge on it, & it performs excellently. It's definitely a rough finish, but for $60 you can't go wrong!
