Not trying to offend , just meant think about the logistics of what you’re asking . The posters above explained well.

There have been light stamps in the past as well. Don’t think it’ll effect the grind one way or the other , but maybe some of the lighter stamped ones I owned seemed ... thinner .

Omega id try to compare but 240 vs 270 isn’t a good comparison id wager

In my early days Konosukes with light stamps were rare and sold as seconds because of the aesthetic flaws. Over time, the stamps being slightly ground away became much more frequent. I think because of this higher frequency along with high demand, the light stamped knives were no longer looked at as flawed.
Sorry, but the integrity of the kanji be it stamped or chiseled is an important trait for me, otherwise why bother even putting it on there. It being partially ground away is a flaw to me, especially with knives at the Konosuke price points.

Would you be as content with a Kato if the kanji was half ground away?

Hi guys.
I created this thread so we could all show off out new knives and receive the accolades and envy we all so desire.
If any particular knife needs more investigation or comment we should probably take it to a new thread.
Many thanks.
Aloha

Got this new Fujiyama Blue #1 today and on it's maiden prep session performed admirably developing a nice patina.

Kanji is very deep on this blade...

EDIT: I made a garbanzo salad with purple onion and the last of the heirloom tomatoes.
This knife has developed one of the fastest darkest patinas (may have been the ghost pepper)...very happy with the purchase.

For sure, I've been rediscovering smaller knives lately.
There are more available at a reasonable price.

These just came in the mail today. Couldn't be happier. They are the latest Fujiyama stock from CKTG. 210 petty and 270 gyuto. I notice that the little kanji bit between the Konosuke part and the Fujiyama square is different on the two knives. Anyone know what that little middle bit refers to?

Hmmm, I must’ve missed the 270s with ebony. How were those ones sold?

They both look really nice!

Have only used the petty so far and really like it! Think my TF petty has
finally been dethroned. Sadly it is probably headed to the classifieds soon.

I had to order this exact knife after seeing this photo. I had been flip flopping over ginsan vs b2 and various handle choices until I saw this.
