First off Mark has a customer for life given his amazing solution to my problem.I had purchased a knife from his that had some micro chip issues from the start. Mark said to sharpen it a few times and see if I could make it work and if I couldn't he would let me send it back I did but I couldn't But I loved the knife and didn't want to accept that it wasn't what I paid for. I called Mark months after the sale and told you the story. He said sent if back and I'll give you store credit. We decided on this Nakiri in BLue # 2 mainly to circumvent any potential issues with edge toughness or durability. We hit the nail right on the head. Now weeks of daily use later the edge is still perfect with just a light linen and leather stropping after use. The exposed carbon edge developed a beautiful patina right away and it's gorgeous. The rest of the blade is just perfect. Going with Anyru shop, with it's decades of experience handed down to his son made me even more confident with the final product. And the hammered finish is just plain cool Fit and finish over all is top notch My highest recommendation
