Shoot that's a three hour train ride or an hour and a half flight. So count me in.

I asked the guys about this and they were enthusiastic about it. I’ll start working out the details and update the thread as I plan it. They’re thinking middle of September.

I'm going with "hopped up on miso soup" for the win. Sounds like fun, but very cost prohibitive on your end.

I was all concerned about timing and such and then I just remembered: I’m on sabbatical! I can just set up some research to do at northwestern and I’m all set and flexible without the teaching schedule. I’m pretty much in for this one, I think. Would love to meet Ikeda and Kosuke and Makoto in particular.

I thought this topic might get deleted after the sake wore off.

Since it’s still up, I really hope to be able to attend

I’m near Chicago and would like to attend. Hopefully it doesn’t actually happen in mid September since I’ll be in California for a wedding.

Ha! If you can convince my wife to change those plans then I’m all in! Hopefully it works out since it would be fun to attend an event like this.

Jesse,

Do you guys ever have small events like this between lunch and dinner? I would love to do the "show" at your restaurant. It has a beautiful bar area that could be fun for the guys.

Hey Mark, I've had a busy couple of days but I think I'll have a little time to call you later today. I'm sure there are a few options we can explore.

I think I can persuade Sue to come if I tell her you're coming and that she won't have to sell stuff at the get-together. :)
