Thanks again Jessie. Being unfamiliar with the city and transportation I want to be prepared as possible before I head out.STPepper9 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:35 pmhttps://www.transitchicago.com/fares/
It looks like you can use your phone or contactless bankcard. ("Ways to pay" section towards the bottom of the page)
I used to buy the ventra tickets, and now I have the ventra card.. If you have any problems with using your phone it's pretty easy to use the kiosk right in front of the turnstiles.

When you're riding by all the people stuck in traffic please wave. I'll be somewhere in the herd.

I used Samsung Pay on my phone for the Blue Line and it worked perfectly. Thanks Jessie.STPepper9 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 30, 2018 8:35 pmhttps://www.transitchicago.com/fares/

I'll post some pictures but I won't have a chance to do that until I get home tomorrow. I'm still in Chicago right now, getting ready to go out and watch the Bears on Monday Night Football!

So wonderful to meet you too. Envied you for making it up to Madison...I am sure it was incredible. I would have spent my kids’ inheritance.

Re: Chicago Knife Show
finally made it home after my flight got cancelled Sunday night. It was wonderful meeting everyone and talking with you all! That riverfront room was just beautiful. I only wish I had hung out the night before @ Roka Akor.

Re: Chicago Knife Show
Hey Garrick, we found out there is a pretty cool little club inside the hilton (connected to Ohare) I guess it use to be private only but is now open to the public. It really had the speak easy/mafia vibe to it
Here is a pic of my table for all those who did not make it. A few of the maple handle lasers will be on the CKTG site. If anyone is interested in the others let me know!

Re: Chicago Knife Show
I would like to thank Mark and Sue (and the behind the scenes CKTG crew) for putting together a wonderful weekend! The events were well planned and it was such a treat to meet the Forum members and other knife makers. I hope this will become an annual event, Chicago was a great location.
Re: Chicago Knife Show
Awesome show for sure and so cool to put faces to names. So much great art and function to peruse and buy, plus some great conversation. A BIG thank you to Mark, Sue and the CKTG crew for pulling this together, no way anyone would ever guess this was a first time thing. For Rose and I, and I'm sure others, a big thank you to Jesse for posting the list of eateries. We tried a couple and we were very happy to have had his recommendation. Ok, now, where is it next year? Did someone say New Orleans? LOL!
