I was shown these at Kosuke’s office last week. Sweet knives. We should have them soon. Maybe 1-2 weeks.

The post on Instagram indicates it is a semi stainless hagane with stainless cladding kurouchi tsuchime, 210mm and 240mm gyuto (actual blade length) with Khii Enju and Maguro handle.
Oh yeh

I wonder if these are made by yoshikane. They look really sweet!

This is a pretty sweet looking knife. Kosuke referred to the upcoming Konosuke Sanjo YS line in this other thread.

I’m thinking you might be correct and the “YS line” might be a reference to Yoshikane.

And the profile sure seems similar to their SKD gyuto. Very intriguing.

Now I just need a price so I can save and start being sweet to my wife so she won't kill me when I get it. Haha.

Yeah perhaps the y for yoshikane and the s for sld? They do some really cool looking knives, which also seems to fit the script with this ys series. It's a maker I've been wanting to get. I'll admit I'm usually a function over form kind of guy, but if I ever get a yoshikane looks will play a big part in which one.

Mark said he was going to talk to Konosuke about getting blades that didn't run short, guess he got through to him. ;)

There was some suggestion that the Yahiko kurouchi and Nashiji are made by Yoshikane. I can certainly see some similarities.

Hmm that is quite interesting. I will no longer push to have the Smith's actual name that did not go well with the mazakis. But I will still try and figure it out. We need to just pass the info among us, while still letting it be anonymous ;) . I don't need the knife to be sold under the Smith's name, but I like to know what type of characteristics to expect.
