New Japanese knife book

Post by Drewski »

I know this is from a direct competitor of cktg, but this item seemed unique enough to mention here. Book seems really interesting, lots of info on various smiths. You can scroll down the webpage to see a preview which includes a section on Takeda. Could be good for a beginner or a collector.

Also their movie Springhammer was a fun look into Takefu crew. It's on YouTube for anyone to watch.

Super nifty. Makes me want to buy a few copies of the book as xmas gifts...! And reminds me to check around again to see if anyone has a Takamura Pro that I've been looking out for for months after seeing the segment on Takamura....

This just got on my Christmas wish list as well. Plenty of time until Christmas to start hinting to my wife that I want the book. haha
This is a great ZQuiet review to learn more about it.

I pre-ordered a few copies -- one for myself and a few as gifts. They came today. Looks gorgeous as a gift, haven't read through it yet.

I do note that the preordered are signed and one of them is signed "Stay Sharp." Had to do a double take -- thought I was watching one of the CKTG videos!
