Shopping Cart Issue
I've had several customers email me that they're experiencing problems with the cart. Basically, you can add items to the floating cart but when you go to enter the real shopping cart the items disappear.
I'm having my developer take a look. We think it might be an issue with Safari and that it's cookies related since the cart relies on cookies for "remembering" what you placed in the cart and temporarily saving it.
Anyone else having this problem? If yes, what browser are you using??

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
I had that happen before using Safari. I thought it was due to the items being in the cart for a about a week before actually ordering.

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
I believe this has happened to me before. I generally use Safari for its superior control of security issues, but I checked and CKTG was definitely allowed to use cookies and I just tested it now and an item disappeared when I went to checkout.

Just tried with Google Chrome and Firefox and everything worked perfect.

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
Here is what he said.
"Mark, Also, I read through the forum comments so far. One thing to know about Safari is under the Cookie settings, even if they are allowed / none are blocked, there is another setting for website tracking "Prevent cross-site tracking" that, when checked, doesn't allow 3rd party cookies. A separate domain is considered a 3rd party cookie. So that impacts the floating cart as the store and cart/checkout use different domains. "
So, the solution is to make the cart the same domain as the site so the browsers don't block the checkout process. We should be able to address this in the next few days and hopefully, that will fix it.

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
Just tried the cross site tracking thing and it works as expected now. That was never an issue before though. I wonder if something changed with the latest safari update or something

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
Click the safari menu, then preferences, then privacy, and uncheck "prevent cross site tracking"

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
I'll chime in from a Chrome user. I had a different. I placed the order through the system, paid for everything, and the order never go through (this past weekend). Spoke to someone on Monday to confirm no order went through because I did not want to buy 2x. After placing the order successfully this time (knives have shipped), the knives still remain in the cart.

Re: Shopping Cart Issue
We almost have the safari thing fixed. I think it should be solved later today. I’ll come back when it’s done and you guys can test it.
